Moto G35 or Poco C75: Which Budget-Friendly 5G Smartphone is Right for You?

The way we search the internet has altered due to 5G connectivity. However, a sizable portion of the Indian population has not yet used the new technology, and the cost is a barrier to admission for the majority. However, millions of people in the nation might eventually switch to 5G as smartphone manufacturers are increasingly focusing on the low-cost market and releasing smartphones like the Moto G35 and the Poco C75. This brief comparison should assist you in choosing a low-cost 5G phone if you are unsure which one to purchase.

Design and display

Although low-cost cell phones are sometimes characterized by plastic construction, the two recently released models have a high-end appearance and feel that should set them apart from the competition. The Poco C75 features a plastic back with what the company calls “Marble Flow design,” but the Moto G35 has a vegan leather back.

The Moto G35’s twin camera array is housed on a small camera island in the upper left corner of the handset. Conversely, the Poco C75 features a large, ostentatious circular camera island that draws inspiration from devices like the Realme 12 and the OnePlus 12.

The Poco C75 features a slightly larger 6.88-inch display than the Moto G35, but both phones offer a 120Hz FHD+ LCD screen. If you’re looking for a big-screen device, the Poco C75 is a clear choice. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the Moto phone features a punch-hole notch, while Poco’s low-cost 5G phone has the antiquated waterdrop notch, which is rather typical of phones under Rs 10,000.

Storage and performance

The Poco C75, the first phone in India to use the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset, is outperformed by the Moto G35, powered by the Unisoc T760 chipset, regarding raw performance. Although benchmark numbers may seem impressive on paper, both phones perform admirably in real-world situations and rarely lag when multitasking.

You can easily play games like BGMI, Garena Free Fire Max, and others at the lowest settings, even if neither device can handle the newest titles at the highest settings. Graphically demanding games like Zenless Zero, Wreckfest, and Genshin Impact are still prohibited.

The Moto G35 and the Poco C75 have 4GB of RAM, but the former has 128GB of storage, while the latter only has 64GB, which some people may find insufficient. However, the microSD card port in both phones enables users to increase storage capacity to 1TB.

Additionally, both devices come pre-installed with Android 14. However, the Moto G35 delivers a near-stock Android experience, while the Poco C75 has Xiaomi’s HyperOS veneer.

Battery and camera

Once more, although the Moto G35 and Poco C75 claim to have a 50MP primary camera, the actual image quality of these two sensors varies. While Poco claims that its newest low-cost 5G phone has a 50MP Sony camera, the Moto phone has an unidentified 50MP camera. Additionally, the Moto G35 has an 8MP ultrawide camera, something the much less expensive Poco C75 does not have. To get the whole picture, we will need to wait for reviews.

Both phones have 18W cable charging capabilities. However, the Poco C75’s 5,160mAh battery is marginally larger than the Moto G35’s 5,000mAh. Because the Poco phone has a bigger screen, the two phones might have comparable battery life.

5G connectivity

Despite what one may assume, major network providers like Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone Idea are not supported by all 5G phones. The Moto G35 is compatible with Airtel and Jio networks since it supports standalone and non-standalone 5G networks. However, if you want to enjoy 5G speeds, you can only use Jio because the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 only supports standalone 5G networks.

Which low-cost 5G phone is better, the Moto G35 or the Poco C75?

By providing a 5G connection without sacrificing display or build quality, the Moto G35 and Poco C75 are upending the smartphone market. Even though the Motorola G35 costs Rs 9,999, which is a lot more than the Poco C75, which starts at Rs 7,999, it is still highly recommended due to its vegan leather finish, support for both SA and NSA 5G networks, clean software, and double storage. However, we suggest the Poco C75 since it provides excellent value if you already have a Jio SIM and wish to save some money.
