Samajwadi Party Lok Sabha MP Priya Saroj’s father, Tufani Saroj, has addressed rumors about India cricketer Rinku Singh’s engagement to his daughter. While denying reports of an engagement, he confirmed that Rinku Singh’s family has formally sent a marriage proposal, which is currently under serious consideration.
According to a report, Tufani Saroj stated that Rinku’s family approached his elder son-in-law, who is currently serving as Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) in Aligarh, to discuss the proposal. Neither Rinku Singh nor Priya Saroj has made any official statements about the matter so far.
Rinku Singh is a prominent figure in India’s T20I setup, frequently featuring among the reserve players of the squad led by Rohit Sharma that secured the World Cup victory last year. The 27-year-old cricketer is set to return to action in the upcoming five-match T20I series against England, beginning next week.
Since his international debut in August 2023, Rinku has represented India in two ODIs and 30 T20Is, amassing a total of 562 runs across formats. His performance continues to make him a valuable asset in the cricketing arena.
