Comedian Kapil Sharma, along with Sugandha Mishra, actor Rajpal Yadav, and choreographer Remo D’Souza, has reportedly received threatening emails from a sender identified as “Vishnu”. The emails, originating from Pakistan, included alarming claims of monitoring their activities and warnings of severe consequences if certain demands were not met.
The email emphasized that the threat was not a publicity stunt or an attempt at harassment but a serious matter requiring confidentiality. It urged the recipients to treat the message with urgency, warning that failure to comply with the sender’s undisclosed demands within eight hours could result in “dangerous consequences”.
In response to these threats, Rajpal Yadav’s wife filed a complaint, prompting the Amboli Police to register an FIR under Section 351(3) of the BNS against an unidentified person. Sugandha Mishra and Remo D’Souza have also lodged complaints regarding the threats.
Kapil Sharma, widely recognized for his successful comedy shows such as The Kapil Sharma Show and Comedy Nights with Kapil, recently hosted The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. Apart from his work on television, he has also starred in films like Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Firangi, Zwigato, and Crew. As investigations into the threats continue, the safety of these celebrities has become a pressing concern.
