In a recent interview, he was asked if it bothered him that none of the contestants cheered when Salman Khan announced him as the winner. Reflecting on the moment, Karan admitted that the only voices celebrating were those of Chum Darang and Shilpa Shirodkar.
He further shared that he hadn’t realized it at the time, but after watching videos and hearing negative comments about himself, the impact became clear. While he personally didn’t feel affected, what truly disturbed him was his mother’s reaction. She fell ill after witnessing the negativity directed at him on the show, which deeply upset him.
Expressing his confusion over the backlash, Karan stated that he never interfered with anyone’s affairs in the house. He emphasized that he barely had time for such matters as he was focused on his own routine, including his gym sessions.
On January 19, 2024, Karan Veer Mehra was crowned the winner of Bigg Boss 18, with Vivian Dsena securing the first runner-up position, followed by Rajat Dalal. However, Karan’s victory left Rajat’s fans in disbelief, as they believed he was more deserving of the title.
Vivian Dsena also appeared to be displeased with the outcome. He hosted a grand success party after the show’s conclusion but noticeably did not extend an invitation to Karan, further fueling speculation about tensions between the contestants.
