Bigg Boss 18: Elvish & Rajat Make Racist Comment On Chum Darang, Netizens Angry

Elvish Yadav has found himself at the center of controversy once again. Ever since rising to fame, the YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner has been no stranger to debates and criticism. His recent support for Rajat Dalal in Bigg Boss 18 stirred discussions, especially when he and Rajat claimed that the latter was a more deserving winner after finishing as the second runner-up. Now, the two are back in the spotlight for a different reason.

Rajat Dalal recently appeared on Elvish Yadav’s podcast channel, The Little Adda Company, where a particular clip from their conversation has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. During their discussion about Bigg Boss 18 contestants, Elvish and Rajat made insensitive remarks about fellow contestant Chum Darang. In a now-deleted segment, Elvish questioned Karan Veer Mehra’s fondness for Chum, jokingly suggesting that Karan might have had COVID-19 for having feelings for her. His comments didn’t stop there—he also made a derogatory remark about Chum’s name, emphasizing its pronunciation and claiming it sounded vulgar.

Although the controversial part of the podcast was later removed from the channel, it had already spread across social media, sparking outrage. Many users criticized Elvish and Rajat for their remarks, calling them disrespectful and offensive. The backlash grew stronger as several social media platforms and North-Eastern content creators demanded accountability, tagging authorities and urging action against the YouTuber.

One user condemned their behavior, writing, “You guys are the most disgusting people. How can you pass comments like this? What message are you trying to give here?” Another individual directly addressed the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, questioning why no action had been taken against Elvish for openly mocking a North-Eastern contestant’s appearance and name.

The incident has reignited discussions about online influencers and their responsibility when making public statements, with many calling for stricter measures against offensive content.
