On her 39th birthday, we celebrate Rashami Desai remarkable journey in the Indian television and film industry. Born on February 13, 1986, in Nagaon, Assam, Rashami began her acting career in regional cinema, appearing in the Assamese film “Kanyadaan” in 2002. She made her Bollywood debut with “Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke” (2004), sharing the screen with Shah Rukh Khan and Raveena Tandon.

Transitioning to television, Rashami gained recognition with roles in “Raavan” (2006) and “Pari Hoon Main” (2008). However, it was her portrayal of Tapasya Thakur in Colors TV’s “Uttaran” (2009–2014) that catapulted her to fame, earning her critical acclaim and several awards.

Beyond acting, Rashami showcased her versatility by participating in reality shows like “Zara Nachke Dikha 2” (2010), “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5” (2012), and “Bigg Boss 13” (2019–2020), where she emerged as a finalist. She also ventured into stand-up comedy with appearances in “Comedy Circus Mahasangram” (2010) and “Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala” (2011).
