Rumors about Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s alleged divorce have been making rounds, but the actor’s wife and close aides have stepped forward to refute these claims. The speculation gained traction after Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, suggested that Sunita’s recent statements might have fueled the gossip.
In a media interaction, Sunita Ahuja’s manager, Sadia Solkar, denied the reports, stating, “This is not true.” Her comment followed Sinha’s statement to a leading publication, “Sunita ji ne jo recent interviews mein baatein boli hain, yeh unn sab ka nateeja hai. Unhone zyaada bol diya hai (The rumours began as a result of everything Sunita Ji has been saying in recent interviews. She might have said a bit too much).”
While there was no confirmation of any legal proceedings, Govinda’s family friend and lawyer, Lalit Bindal, made a surprising revelation. In an interview, Bindal disclosed that the couple had filed for divorce six months ago but later reconciled.
“They travelled to Nepal during the New Year and performed puja together at Pashupati Nath Mandir. Everything is fine between them now. Such things keep happening between couples, but they are going strong and will always be together,” Bindal clarified.
Refuting claims of Govinda and Sunita living separately, Bindal explained that Govinda had purchased a bungalow during his tenure as an MP for official purposes, but the couple still resides in their longtime home. He further pointed out that Sunita’s words were being taken out of context.
“Like when she said ‘Mujhe Govinda jaisa pati nahi chaiye’ (I don’t want a husband like Govinda in my next birth), she also added that she wanted a son like him. Or when she said he was with his own valentine, she meant he was working. Unfortunately, people are twisting her words.”
The lawyer reassured that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja remain together and dismissed any chance of a divorce. “No divorce is going to happen,” he stated, putting all rumours to rest
