The Bollywood re-release wave is in full swing! After the surprising box office resurgence of Sanam Teri Kasam (2016) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), yet another fan-favorite film is set to hit the big screen once again. Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana (2017), starring Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda, is all set for a theatrical re-release on March 7, perfectly timed with Women’s Day week.
Deepak Mukut, the force behind Sanam Teri Kasam’s successful rerun, is excited to bring this beloved romantic drama back to theaters. Over the years, the film has gained a cult following, thanks to its gripping narrative and powerful performances. While its original box office collection stood at ₹11.14 crore, its intense drama and the hit song “Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar” have kept it alive in the hearts of fans.
A trade expert weighed in on the film’s return, saying, “There’s no major Hindi release on March 7, as The Diplomat has been postponed to March 14. This gives Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana a great opportunity to shine. If the audience demand is strong, the screen count could increase.”
