Recently director duo Raj-DK took to Instagram to announce their upcoming projects, including The Family Man 3, Gulkanda Tales, and Rakt Brahmand. While the announcement generated excitement, it also sparked speculation about the fate of their acclaimed series Farzi. Although Raj-DK are currently engrossed in their work on Rakt Brahmand, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Wamiqa Gabbi, there is good news for Farzi fans.
In an interview, Raashii Khanna, who played the female lead in Farzi alongside Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, confirmed that a sequel is indeed in the works. She revealed, “A sequel will definitely happen. Raj-DK are still in the writing stage. That’s what I was told by them. But they’re the right people to answer this question. Shahid is also as clueless as me. We’ve no idea what’s happening. We’re just waiting for a call from them that they’re ready with the script and that we can start shooting. I really can’t wait to start Farzi 2. Hopefully, we should begin shooting for it sometime this year. Let’s see what happens.”
While details about the plot and production schedule remain under wraps, Raashii’s confirmation has reignited excitement among fans eagerly waiting for the return of Farzi. With Raj-DK’s signature storytelling and the stellar cast, the anticipation for the second season continues to build.
