Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is once again at the center of a serious security scare after receiving a fresh death threat, this time via WhatsApp. The threatening message was reportedly sent to Mumbai’s Transport Department in Worli, claiming the actor would be killed at his residence and even warning of a bomb being planted in his car.
Sources confirmed that a case has been registered at the Worli Police Station against an unidentified person. Officials are currently investigating the message, tracing its origin and assessing the credibility of the threat.
This is not the first time Khan has found himself targeted. Over the past few years, the actor has received multiple death threats, many of which have been linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang is suspected of targeting Salman due to his alleged role in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
The situation escalated in April 2024 when two assailants on a motorbike opened fire outside Salman’s Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments. The shooters were later apprehended in Gujarat, and the police identified the attack as being orchestrated by the Bishnoi gang. That gang later issued further threats, demanding the actor either visit a temple, publicly apologise for the blackbuck incident, or pay a hefty sum of ₹5 crore.
In a separate incident from October of last year, unknown individuals demanded a ₹2 crore ransom, and in 2023, a threat email allegedly from gangster Goldy Brar also surfaced.
Recently, Salman Khan addressed the ongoing threats during a press interaction in Mumbai. Offering a calm response to the growing concerns, he said, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai.” Despite the gravity of the situation, the actor appeared composed.
Salman Khan shared that his life has been significantly altered by the threats. He now avoids stepping out unnecessarily and prefers staying within the safety of his home and film sets. He also noted that he feels more secure when surrounded by the media, suggesting their presence provides an additional layer of comfort.
As the investigation continues, Salman’s security remains tight, and the entertainment industry watches closely, hoping for a resolution and his continued safety.
