Rupali Ganguly has spoken out strongly following the arrest of Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who has been accused of espionage for Pakistan. The shocking development came after Hisar police apprehended Malhotra and booked her under Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, in addition to Section 152 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The charges stem from allegations that she passed classified information to Pakistani intelligence agencies.

In response to the controversy, Rupali took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share her concerns about the incident and the broader implications. “Such people do not even realise when their love for Pakistan turns into hatred for India. Initially they talk about ‘Aman Ki Aasha’ and ends up hating India. Don’t know how many such people are secretly working against the country, not a single one should be spared. #JyotiMalhotra,” she wrote, expressing alarm and disappointment at what she views as a betrayal of national loyalty.

Malhotra, who runs the YouTube travel channel Travel with Jo with a subscriber base nearing four lakhs, reportedly made two trips to Pakistan in 2023. According to the FIR, she met with individuals identified as Ali Ehwan, Shakir, and Rana Shahbaz during her visits. Authorities allege she concealed these contacts under false names like ‘Jatt Randhawa’ and maintained communication through encrypted platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat to avoid detection.

As the investigation unfolds, Rupali Ganguly’s reaction underscores growing public concern about the vulnerability of digital influencers and content creators being exploited for cross-border agendas. The case continues to spark debate over national security, online accountability, and the covert threats that may lie behind seemingly innocuous screens.
