Excitement is steadily building for the launch of Bigg Boss 19, and this time, it appears the show is poised for a major format shake-up. According to industry buzz, the upcoming season will move away from the trend of casting digital influencers and instead focus on bringing established names from the television and film industries into the limelight.
As per a report from an entertainment portal, “Unlike previous seasons, this time, the makers have decided not to approach YouTubers for the reality show.” This marks a significant departure from recent seasons where content creators like Elvish Yadav, Abhishek Malhan (Fukra Insaan), Manisha Rani, and Rajat Dalal emerged as breakout stars. Their time on Bigg Boss catapulted them into mainstream fame, with large fanbases rooting for them both during and after their time on the show.
This season, however, the casting team is reportedly focusing solely on well-known TV stars and film personalities. Although the official contestant list has yet to be unveiled, the process of finalizing the names is already underway.
If all goes according to plan, the show, hosted once again by Salman Khan, is expected to kick off with a promo shoot in late June 2025. The actual premiere is likely to take place on July 30, 2025. Adding to the intrigue, reports from Pinkvilla indicate that this season is set to be the most extended in the show’s history.
“According to the report, Bigg Boss 19 will extend beyond its typical 3-month duration, running for nearly 5.5 months, marking the longest-running season to date,” the portal states. That means fans could enjoy daily drama, entertainment, and celebrity clashes well into January 2026.
