Triptii Dimri has now been confirmed as the female lead in Spirit replacing Deepika Padukone in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-anticipated film starring Prabhas. Both Dimri and Vanga made the announcement via their social media handles, putting an end to weeks of speculation surrounding the film’s casting.
According to various industry reports, Deepika Padukone’s exit from the project stemmed from a disagreement over remuneration. Reportedly, the filmmaker was unable to meet her financial expectations, which were said to be over Rs 20 crore. This led to her departure from the project, paving the way for Triptii Dimri.
Newer reports suggest that Triptii Dimri has agreed to a significantly lower fee. As per Telugu portals like Telugu 360, she is being paid around Rs 4 crore for her role in Spirit. Although these numbers haven’t been officially confirmed, they offer a stark contrast to what Deepika Padukone was reportedly demanding.
Triptii’s collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga is not new. The two previously worked together on the hit film Animal, a project that boosted Dimri’s popularity and credibility within the industry. With this reunion, fans are eagerly anticipating her on-screen chemistry with Prabhas in a fresh pairing that promises to bring a new dynamic to the screen.
