Actor Pankaj Tripathi, known for his nuanced performances and recently seen in Criminal Justice 4, has opened up about the increasing spread of fake AI-generated content online. In a recent interview, he shared his candid thoughts on the dual nature of technology and how it should be approached.

Sometime back a fake image of him went viral in which he was seen dressed up as Babu Rao from Hera Pheri as if he is going to play the character after Paresh Rawal’s exit.

Reflecting on his early memories, he said, “I remember reading an article in my childhood about science: is it a boon or a curse? What is it? It is both. If it is used meaningfully, then it is an amazing thing. If it is used meaninglessly or without meaning, then it can be harmful. Any technology should have a meaningful use.”

Tripathi emphasized the responsibility of the user and the viewer alike. He acknowledged that every technology will have both beneficial and harmful sides, but it’s up to individuals to be conscious of what they’re consuming. “But if there is technology, then it will have both kinds of uses. The person has to be aware that what they are seeing is generated or real and original. How much you will see and how much you will dissect or understand it? You have to live your life and work too.”

Despite the rising concerns about deepfakes and digital manipulation, the actor remains grounded and optimistic about what truly endures. “I am not scared because no matter how much technology evolves, human emotions have a lot of value and that is not going to change,” he concluded.

Pankaj Tripathi’s perspective serves as a thoughtful reminder: in a world of artificial intelligence, it’s real human emotion that continues to hold the greatest power.
