At the Mumbai trailer launch of Metro…In Dino on Tuesday, Sara Ali Khan found herself in an awkward position when a reporter posed a surprisingly personal question. She was asked to identify her favorite successful, married Bollywood couple, a query that visibly flustered her and left her momentarily speechless.
As Sara hesitated, her co-star Neena Gupta quickly intervened, playfully teasing the reporter for putting Sara on the spot. After a brief pause, Sara offered her answer: “Mere father and Kareena,” referring to her father Saif Ali Khan and his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The reporter pressed further, inquiring about the quality Sara admired in Saif and Kareena’s relationship. Before she could elaborate, Aditya Roy Kapur humorously interjected, “Ye next trailer launch pe answer karenge?” which drew laughter from the entire panel. Pankaj Tripathi added to the lighthearted moment, quipping, “Ye alag se kahin likhoge kya?”

This isn’t the first instance of Sara Ali Khan being questioned about her blended family. On Koffee With Karan, she once discussed her relationship with Kareena. When Karan Johar asked if she had ever called Kareena “Chhoti Maa,” Sara responded, “I think Kareena would have a nervous breakdown if I was to call her chhoti maa,” before humorously adding, “What? No!”
Meanwhile, Metro…In Dino boasts an extensive ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Saswata Chatterjee. Directed by Anurag Basu and jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu, the film is set to release on July 4. The trailer hints at poignant narratives exploring love, decisions, and relationships within an urban landscape.
