Veteran actor Raza Murad has finally addressed a persistent rumor linking him, Dimple Kapadia, and the late Rajesh Khanna. The widely circulated story claimed that Khanna once slapped Murad on a film set following an argument involving Kapadia, an assertion Murad now firmly states is entirely false.
Speaking on a podcast, Murad recalled that this unsubstantiated rumor first appeared in an old film magazine called Urvashi. He recounted its version of events: “It was written there that Raza Murad and Dimple Kapadia came to Film City in the same car. Rajesh Khanna was shooting there. When he began talking to Dimple, Raza asked her to leave with him, leading to Rajesh Khanna slapping Raza Murad.”
However, Murad insists that this dramatic encounter never took place. He clarified, “Neither I ever went to Film City with Dimple, nor such a situation ever happened, and never have Dimple Kapadia, Rajesh Khanna, and Raza Murad ever been in the same spot together. We used to shoot separately with Kakaji (Khanna) and Dimple. This baseless rumour didn’t have even 1% truth in it. It was a 100% lie.”
Well, it may be late but it’s good that he at least clarified.
