After multiple delays, Vijay Deverakonda’s much-awaited spy-action drama finally hit theaters on July 31. The movie made nearly ₹15 crore on its opening day, according to Sacnilk’s most recent update.

How much did Kingdom earn on Day One?

According to the report, Kingdom made ₹15.50 crore on its first day of business. Compared to Vijay’s previous film, The Family Star, which made ₹5.75 crore on its first day, the collections are greater.

Additionally, the film surpassed the ₹15.25 crore opening day revenue of his 2022 release, Kushi. However, his 2019 release Liger (₹15.95 crore) was the highest opening day business of his career, and he failed to surpass it.

On Thursday, the Telugu occupancy rate in the Kingdom was 57.87% overall. The occupancy rate was 63.56% for morning performances and 56.52% for afternoon shows. The attendance for the night concerts was 61.27%, while the attendance for the evening shows was 50.12%.

About Kingdom

In Kingdom, Vijay Deverakonda plays Suri, a former police officer who becomes a spy. He travels to Sri Lanka on behalf of the Indian government to find his long-lost brother Siva, played by Satyadev. Bhagyashri Borse plays Suri’s romantic interest in the movie. Many moviegoers commented on why the movie finished on a cliffhanger. At a press conference held after the film’s release, producer Naga Vamsi indicated that a sequel would be produced shortly.

Vijay’s central role in Kingdom received excellent reviews, although several critics noted problems with the screenplay in the second half. “Vijay finally gets his redemption arc with Kingdom, both as an actor and as a character,” according to an excerpt from the Hindustan Times review. You eventually witness the theatrical performer and his inner star emerge. He may stumble occasionally, but he soon gets his bearings and performs the various hues with ease.
