Shots were fired at comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Surrey, Canada, for the second time this month.

In social media posts, two gangs Lawrence Bishnoi and Gurpreet Singh, also known as Goldy Dhillon claimed responsibility for the attack.

At least 25 gunshots were heard in a claimed video of the attack that circulated on social media.

A voice was also heard saying in the video, amid the crack of the gunshots, “… We had called the target, but he didn’t hear the ring, so we had to take action. If he still doesn’t hear the ring, the next action will be taken soon in Mumbai.”

According to sources, the incident is being investigated by the Mumbai Police and other security organizations.

On July 10, while some staff members were still there, the comedian’s recently launched Kap’s Cafe was the scene of the first attack. The firing did not damage anyone. One of the cafe’s windows had at least ten gunshot holes in it, and another glass pane was broken.

To maintain the establishment as a representation of “warmth and community” for its patrons, Kaps Cafe has said that it will remain “firm” against acts of violence.

According to accounts in the Indian media, a Khalistani separatist claimed responsibility for the July 10 shooting, which the local police acknowledged.

Following the first firing incident at Kaps Cafe, a member of the terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) claimed that a participant in the comedian’s performance had made some “humorous” comments against the traditional attire and behavior of Nihang Sikhs, which had offended the community.

Harjit Singh Laddi, a BKI terrorist, claimed responsibility for the July 10 firing.

The Canadian government has listed the BKI as a terrorist outfit. Laddi is also listed as a top target by the National Investigation Agency.
