In the voice note accessed by Hindustan Times, an unidentified man claiming Bishnoi gang association delivers a bone-chilling message. “Baat se mukarne ki saza kya hoti hai tujhe bataenge,” he says—threatening to show Ranveer Singh what happens when someone goes back on their word.
But here’s the twist. The caller doesn’t threaten the celebrities directly. Instead, he claims to have detailed information about their staff members—managers, assistants, everyone who works under them. “Tumhare neeche jo bhi kaam karta hai na, inki detail hai hamare paas. Inke ghar ki, kab office jaate hain, kab ghar aate hain, parivaar kaha rehta hai,” the man says in Hindi.
Translation: We know where your staff lives, when they leave for work, when they return home, where their families stay. “We won’t say anything to you; we’ll start targeting them instead. That’s when you’ll come to your senses.”
The voice note also suggests Ranveer Singh allegedly broke a promise, though no specific details are mentioned about what commitment he failed to honor. “Ranveer Singh tune koi baat bolkar usse mukar gaya na,” the caller states, demanding the actor either return to his original commitment or face punishment.
Rohit Shetty Also Named in Warning
Rohit Shetty isn’t spared in this threat either. The caller specifically addresses both the filmmaker and Ranveer Singh, telling them to “sit and listen carefully.” He extends the warning to the entire Bollywood industry: “Yah toh time rehte line pe ajana jisko bhi hum call kare, agar nahi aaye, baad mein dekhna hum kya haal karte hain aap logo ka.”
The message is clear—anyone who receives a call from the gang should comply immediately, or face the consequences later.
This isn’t the first time the Bishnoi gang name has surfaced in connection with Bollywood. The notorious gang has been linked to several high-profile cases involving film industry personalities in recent years.
Security Ramped Up at Mumbai Residence
Last week, Ranveer Singh and wife Deepika Padukone had already tightened security after receiving an extortion threat via WhatsApp. According to an official letter from their housing complex to Dadar Police Station, the couple deployed six armed security personnel outside their residence.
The letter, accessed by Hindustan Times, revealed that these armed guards were stationed without the ‘permission’ of the Society Managing Committee. Additionally, uniformed police personnel have been posted with the actors.
India Today reported that Ranveer Singh immediately informed Mumbai Police after receiving the initial extortion threat. The police launched an investigation and security arrangements were swiftly heightened around his residence.
