Aamir Khan has openly admitted that Salman Khan is a better actor than him, especially when it comes to performing emotional scenes. During a promotional interview for Sikandar, Aamir engaged in a candid conversation with Salman and filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The discussion turned lighthearted yet competitive as the two actors sought the director’s opinion on their skills in acting and dancing.
Salman playfully posed a series of questions to Murugadoss, asking, “Who’s the better actor? Who’s more hardworking? Who’s more sincere?” Before the director could respond, Aamir interrupted with a humorous remark, “All the boring things”. As the filmmaker hesitated, Aamir further praised Salman, saying, “Sir, actor also, he is better. Have you seen Dabangg?”
Murugadoss acknowledged Salman’s ability to perform emotional scenes exceptionally well, noting that he could cry on screen without the aid of glycerin. Aamir chimed in, asserting that he, too, could cry without glycerin. Salman then jokingly credited Aamir for his skills, saying, “It’s because of you, sir. I used to see you and was like, look at this guy, whole Sikandar’s bojh (weight) is on his head. He has to go back to his wife and child and then come back in the day again and tolerate me on set.”
Aamir reinforced his admiration for Salman’s acting, stating, “No, but I’ve seen, his emotional scenes are outstanding.” Murugadoss further commended Salman for excelling in close-up shots, pointing out that while emotions can be conveyed more naturally in interactive scenes, it takes exceptional skill to express them convincingly in a close-up with just a voiceover.
Interestingly, all three—Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and AR Murugadoss—share a unique connection. While Sikandar marks the first collaboration between Salman and the director, Aamir had previously worked with Murugadoss in the 2008 blockbuster Ghajini.

Meanwhile, Sikandar is set for release on March 30, coinciding with Eid. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. During their conversation, Salman also took a moment to appreciate Rashmika for managing the demanding shoots of Sikandar in Hyderabad while simultaneously working on Pushpa 2 alongside Allu Arjun.
