Discussing the film’s underperformance with Instant Bollywood, Aamir made a striking statement: “Accha hua” (It’s good that it happened). He explained that early struggles are necessary for growth and development, believing that Junaid is on the right path and will continue to improve.
Looking back at his son’s progress, Aamir commended Junaid’s dedication, emphasizing his ability to completely lose himself in a character. Reflecting on his roles in Maharaj and Loveyapa, Aamir shared how deeply his son immersed himself in the performances. “While watching Maharaj, I felt he became the person, and in Loveyapa too, he is convincingly Gaurav,” he said, highlighting his son’s acting prowess.
However, Aamir was just as honest about Junaid’s shortcomings. He acknowledged that, much like himself, Junaid struggles with dancing and finds social interactions—especially media interviews—a bit challenging. His quirky and unconventional responses in public settings remind Aamir of his own early days in the industry, where he too grappled with shyness and public appearances.
Despite the hurdles, Aamir remains confident that Junaid will evolve both as an actor and as an individual.
