There is a lot of talk that the January 12, 2023, release date for the Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan movie “Adipurush” will be changed. When the trailer for this mythical drama was unveiled earlier this month, it immediately drew a lot of criticism. Numerous criticisms were levelled at “Adipurush,” ranging from subpar VFX to alleged factual fabrication.
The decision to postpone the release of “Adipurush” appears to have been made for another purpose, though. This comedy is reportedly being delayed until the summer of 2023 in order to avoid competition with major South Indian releases like Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veeraya, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, Mammootty’s Agent, Ajith’s Thunivu, and Vijay starrer Varisu, which are all reportedly planned to premiere during the festivals of Sankrant and Pongal in that year. Soon, the “Adipurush” producers should make a formal announcement about the new date the movie will come out.
Om Raut, the director of the teaser, had responded to the criticism by saying that he was “disheartened” by the unfavourable reviews, but he went on to defend the teaser, saying, “You can chop it down to some level, but you can’t get it down to a cell phone. Although it is necessary at the moment, I would never upload it on YouTube if I had the option. The magnificent production “Adipurush” is said to have cost more than INR 400 crores to produce. In addition to the Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada dubs, the movie will also be released in Hindi and Telugu.
