The Australian cricket team registered a comfortable victory over Pakistan by 62 runs in the ODI which was played yesterday in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The match was played at M. Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru and after winning the toss, Pakistan decided to bowl first but the decision proved wrong as the Aussies put a big total of 367/9 on the scorecard in their 50 overs.
The Aussie openers David Warner (163 runs) and Mitchell Marsh (121 runs) produced a partnership of 259 runs for the first wicket. Pakistani bowlers didn’t let any other Aussie batter score freely after these two got out otherwise the score could have been bigger.
In response, Pak also had a good start as their openers Abdullah Shafique (64 runs) and Imam-ul-Haq (70 runs) and produced a partnership of 134 runs for the first wicket but after Marcus Stoinis dismissed these two, no other Pak batter was able to play a big innings.
The whole Pakistani team got out for 302 runs in the 46th over and this is the second match that they have lost out of four matches that they have played till now. The Pakistani team’s fielding was the main talking point as they dropped a good number of catches and quite naturally, X was flooded with reactions after Pak lost the match.
