Auto-Driver Who Took Saif Ali Khan To Hospital Got Rewarded But Refused Payment From Actor

Last week, news broke that Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan had been attacked and stabbed by a robber at his residence in Mumbai, leaving everyone stunned. Saif, who sustained multiple injuries, was rushed to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw, where he underwent emergency surgery.

In the days following the incident, it was revealed that the auto driver who transported Saif to Lilavati Hospital had been recognized for his timely assistance. According to reports, an institution rewarded him with ₹11,000 for his commendable deed. It was also noted that the driver had refused any payment from Saif for his help, focusing solely on getting the injured actor to safety.

Recounting the events of that night, the auto driver, Bhajan Singh, described how he initially did not recognize Saif. He explained that Saif, who was bleeding heavily and visibly in pain, boarded the auto with the help of his son. Singh only realized the identity of his passenger after they arrived at the hospital. He recalled the urgency of the situation, sharing how hospital staff rushed to assist when they noticed Saif’s condition.

The attack occurred in the early hours of January 16 inside Saif’s Bandra apartment, where the intruder stabbed him six times. At the time of the incident, Saif’s car was unavailable due to the driver’s absence, prompting Ibrahim to quickly arrange for the auto. Singh’s swift actions played a crucial role in ensuring Saif received immediate medical attention, with the entire incident highlighting both the vulnerability of the situation and the selflessness of ordinary citizens.
