The Asia Cup 2023 started yesterday with Pakistan registering a big win over Nepal in the opening match of the tournament and the cricket fans all over the world are eagerly waiting for the India-Pakistan match which will be played on 2 September.
The BCCI has already said that most probably the same Indian team which is playing in the Asia Cup will also play in the ICC ODI World Cup and now many former cricketers have started talking about the players who can play a big role in their team’s success.
The former Aussie cricketer Brad Hogg feels that Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav can play a big part and he also adds that he will certainly play Kuldeep against the Australian team. Kuldeep Yadav has been performing well for quite some time now and he has been preferred over Yuzvendra Chahal by the selectors.
Brad Hogg said in an interview, “He had a great IPL this year. He has come back well. What defines a player is when someone has been dropped. He has been out of the game, worked on his action. He is not falling away as much. He is now getting more revolutions on the ball, and drift as well. I think Rohit Sharma captains him well. He is a fighter.”
Brad Hogg further said, “I absolutely love the way he’s gone about it. Just love the way he has come back into that team and performed straight away. I think he will play a big part in the World Cup. I’d play Kuldeep against Australia.”
