Dilip Joshi, widely recognized for portraying Jethalal Champaklal Gada in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, was reportedly involved in a significant disagreement with the show’s creator, Asit Kumar Modi, earlier in August. Sources from the production revealed that tensions flared on set over Dilip Joshi’s request for leave, which led to an intense exchange.
According to insiders, Dilip Joshi had approached Asit Kumar Modi to discuss his request for a few days off. However, when Modi reportedly avoided addressing the matter and instead prioritized a meeting with another actor, Kush Shah, it caused frustration for Joshi. “Dilip ji was waiting for Asit bhai to discuss his leave. When Asit bhai arrived, he went straight to meet Kush. This upset Dilip ji,” a source close to the show’s production mentioned.
The situation quickly escalated into a heated confrontation, during which Joshi allegedly grabbed Modi by the collar and threatened to leave the show. The source further noted that although tempers flared, Asit bhai managed to calm down Dilip Joshi but they have no idea as to how they sorted out their differences.
This is not the first reported conflict between Dilp Joshi and Asit Modi on the set of the long-running show. Previous instances of tension have occurred, including a notable altercation during a Hong Kong shoot. At the time, co-star Gurucharan Singh Sodhi intervened to mediate the conflict.
Now this is a shocking revelation, what do you say?
