Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan got released yesterday on the occasion of Janmashtami and as expected, it broke all records at the box-office. After defeating Shah Rukh’s last release Pathaan in terms of advance booking, Jawan has now left Pathaan far behind as far as the first day earnings are concerned.
While Pathaan earned Rs. 57 crore net on day one, Jawan has earned Rs. 75 crore net out of which it has earned Rs. 65 crore in Hindi language. The movie has been directed by Atlee and it also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Riddi Dogra, etc in important roles.
With this, Jawan has become the highest Bollywood opener of all times and people are going gaga over SRK’s performance in the film in which he has played double roles – of father and son.
Deepika Padukone has also done a cameo in the movie and many fans feel that Jawan is not just a movie, it is a festival. The film is written and directed by Atlee and he is getting praised for presenting SRK in such a massy avatar. People are also showering praises on him for giving social messages through the movie.
