Both Salman Khan and his father, seasoned screenwriter Salim Khan, expressed how much they “really enjoyed” Kiran Rao’s parody Laapataa Ladies.
Salman Khan is all praise for Laapataa Ladies, the satire by Kiran Rao. He did, however, also refer to the movie as her “debut as a director” despite his praise for it. As everyone knows, Kiran directed Dhobi Ghat in 2010 for her feature film debut.
Salman’s words
On Wednesday, Salman posted on his X Twitter, saying, “Just saw Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies.” Kiran, wah wah (wow). Both my father and I had a great time with it. Congratulations on a job well done on your directing debut. When would you collaborate with me, Kab kaam karogi mere saath?
Salman received a lot of love from X users for his involvement in a little film like Laapataa Ladies, but others were quick to point out that Kiran is not the film’s director. Aamir Khan, Kiran’s ex-husband and co-producer of Laapataa Ladies, is good friends with Salman. In the 1994 buddy comedy Andaz Apna Apna directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Aamir and Salman notably shared a screen.
