Mahindra’s Swaraj introduces new range of compact lightweight tractors to help farmers achieve their goals in productivity.

Swaraj Tractors has introduced two new models, the Target 630 and Target 625. The aims is to help farmers achieve their goals in farm productivity.
A new line of small, lightweight tractors from Swaraj Tractors was introduced on Friday, with prices beginning at Rs. 5.35 lakh (ex-showroom).  The business announced that it will launch two models under the new Target line in the 20–30 HP category: the Target 630 and Target 625.

According to the company, the Swaraj Target 630 model will first be sold through its dealer network in Maharashtra and Karnataka for a starting price of Rs 5.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

According to Mahindra Group company Swaraj Tractors, the second model Target 625 will be unveiled soon. The Group had already disclosed last week its intentions to introduce a new tractor platform.

According to the company, the new Swaraj Target line perfectly integrates technology and power, offering excellent efficiency in spraying and other applications.

Hemant Sikka, President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector, stated that the introduction of Swaraj Target “opens a new segment for the growth of Swaraj Tractors and facilitates horticulture mechanization, a fast-growing segment in Indian agriculture.” The 15HP to 65HP series of tractors are produced by Swaraj Tractors.

According to Harish Chavan, CEO of M&M Ltd.’s Swaraj Division, “With this new platform, we are providing cutting-edge technology that will help farmers achieve their targets in farm productivity by adopting modern agricultural practices and high-value crops.”

The group’s agricultural equipment segment announced on Thursday that overall sales in May decreased by 4% to 34,126 units from 35,722 units in May of the previous year. Comparing the same month a year ago to the current month, domestic tractor sales dropped by 3% to 33,113 units from 34,153 units. According to M&M, shipments of tractors decreased by 35% to 1,013 units from 1,569 units in May 2022.
