Maidaan Trailer Release: Ajay Devgn’s Birthday Treat for Football Fans Everywhere

On April 10, Amit R. Sharma’s film Maidaan, which stars Ajay Devgn as former football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, will be released in theatres.

Following the box office triumph of his previous movie, the home invasion drama Shaitaan directed by Vikas Bahl, Ajay Devgn’s fans are eager to see him in a whole different role in Maidaan. The creators of Maidaan revealed the film’s final trailer on the occasion of his 55th birthday.

What is seen in the trailer?

The last trailer builds on the first one, which was released a few weeks ago. In the first scene of her part, Priyamani gives her husband Syed Abdul Rahim (Ajay) some motivation. She commends him for having predicted that India may win football in the next Olympics back in the 1950s, when the country was still gaining its independence.

In contrast to Gajraj Rao’s avaricious nature, Ajay’s Syed Abdul Rahim selects young football players from the periphery and builds India’s underdog squad, player by player. But as the teaser teases, Ajay and his squad will also have to contend with the stadium’s fierce opposition as well as jeers from the audience and a demonstrator outside who is calling for India to “go back.”

About Maidaan

“Aside from being a great story, I never knew that something like that had happened in our country and football had reached its peak and only because of, I can’t say one man, but one man and these players who changed the course of football in the ’50s and ’60s,” Ajay said in a statement regarding the movie and his role as Syed Abdul Rahim. The first thing that needed to be said about this tale is that there is a person who is similar to him, and I was actually stunned and amazed that this would have happened.

Actor Rudrani Ghosh from Bengal is also featured in Maidaan. Screenplay and dialogue are written by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah, respectively, and are produced by Zed Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla. Manoj Muntashir Shukla wrote the words and AR Rahman composed the music.

On April 10, the movie opens in cinemas. It will compete with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan at the box office.
