Famous actor Mukesh Khanna, who gained fame for playing the superhero Shaktimaan, recently shared on social media about the rumours about Shaktimaan project casting, which include Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh.
After being put on YouTube, the video was later shared on his Instagram account. Khanna has now removed both of them. The now-deleted video had comments on the next Shaktiman film. The casting for the rumoured superhero movie has long been a topic of rumours, but no official confirmation has been made. Singh’s supporters were not amused when Khanna posted a video on social media in response to the claims.
‘Shaktimaan’, a TV series starring Mukesh Khanna, would be adapted into a movie, Sony Pictures India said back in 2022. On the official X page, a tweet stated, “It’s time for our desi Superhero, after the super success of our many superhero films in India and all over the globe.” The news was made through a film that teased Gangadhar’s recognisable glasses, his camera, and most importantly the Shaktimaan outfit. “One of India’s superstars” will star in the film, according to the creators. It is rumoured that Basil Joseph, of “Minnal Murali” fame, will direct the picture.
As declared by Mukesh Khanna:
“For several months, social media has been filled with rumours of Ranveer playing Shaktimaan, which has upset everyone,” Mukesh said on Instagram in Hindi. I have remained silent, but I feel compelled to speak up now that the networks are announcing that he has been signed. I have declared that no matter how great a star, someone with this image cannot be Shaktimaan.
Additionally, he uploaded a video on YouTube, stating that Ranveer ought to pursue roles in films in other nations where he may do naked scenes. “I’ve informed the producers that Captain Planet, Batman, and Spider-Man are not your rivals. Shaktimaan has developed into a wonderful teacher in addition to being a superhero. Now, the actor who accepts the part needs to possess the ability to make people listen to him when he talks. Big actors exist, but their portrayal is mediocre, according to Khanna.
