Prabhas has taken the crown as India’s ‘Most Popular Male Film Star’ for July 2024, according to Ormax Media’s latest report. The actor’s popularity surged following the release of Kalki 2898 AD in late June, a film that garnered widespread praise for its star-studded cast, including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. Prabhas’ rise to the top spot is particularly noteworthy, especially in light of Arshad Warsi’s recent comments on his role in Nag Ashwin’s directorial venture.
The July 2024 rankings by Ormax Media placed Prabhas at the pinnacle, followed by Vijay in second place and Shah Rukh Khan in third. Other top actors include Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Akshay Kumar, Allu Arjun, Salman Khan, Ram Charan, and Ajith Kumar, who rounded out the top ten.
Kalki 2898 AD made a significant impact at the box office, with its Hindi version alone raking in Rs 112.15 crore during its opening weekend. The film continued to perform strongly, ultimately achieving a lifetime collection of Rs 294.25 crore in the Hindi market, further solidifying Prabhas’ star power in the Indian film industry.
