Superstar Salman Khan recently shared his excitement on social media about the re-release of the iconic film Karan Arjun, which is set to hit theaters again on November 22, marking 30 years since its original debut.
In the film, Salman stars as Karan and Shah Rukh Khan as Arjun, portraying two brothers reincarnated to seek revenge and reunite with their mother. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Salman posted a teaser for the re-release, nodding to Rakhee’s famous line from the film.
He humorously captioned it, “Raakhi ji ne sahi kaha tha film mein ki mere Karan Arjun aayenge… November 22 ko duniya bhar ke cinema gharon mein!” (“Rakhee was right when she said in the film that my Karan Arjun will return…on November 22 in cinemas worldwide!”).
Directed by Rakesh Roshan, Karan Arjun is a celebrated film in Bollywood, known for its unique blend of action, drama, and reincarnation. The story follows Karan (Salman Khan) and Arjun (Shah Rukh Khan), two brothers who are killed while protecting their mother (played by Rakhee) from the ruthless Thakur Sangram Singh. Following their deaths, Rakhee’s character holds steadfast in her belief that her sons will return. The film unfolds with the reincarnated brothers returning to seek justice and reunite with their mother. Kajol and Mamta Kulkarni also starred in the film, adding to its iconic cast and cementing it as a cultural touchstone in Bollywood.
Fans of the classic film can relive the nostalgia when Karan Arjun makes its way back to the big screen this November.
