While speaking at an event held in New Delhi on Wednesday, Randeep Hooda delved into a candid conversation about the ever-evolving world of Bollywood. When asked about his inspirations in the film industry, the seasoned actor named two towering figures—Naseeruddin Shah and Salman Khan—praising the longevity and resilience of their careers.
“I have worked with Naseer (Naseeruddin Shah) saab, I have learnt a lot from him. Sunny (Deol), Salman (Khan) and many people are an inspiration. These people have had long careers. They are on top of their game,” Randeep shared, acknowledging the mark these actors have left on the industry.
Currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film Jaat, Randeep Hooda also reflected on the mystique that surrounded superstars of the previous generation. According to him, the lack of social media in those times contributed significantly to their iconic status. He pointed out that because these stars were not constantly visible to the public, their appearances felt more special and impactful.
He argued that this “element of rarity” has now faded in the digital era, making it harder for actors today to maintain the same level of relevance or intrigue. Randeep’s insights offered a thoughtful perspective on how fame, once built on limited exposure, is now shaped and sometimes diluted by constant visibility.
We certainly agree with Randeep Hooda, what about you?
