Rishabh Pant Dazzles At No. 3, SKY’s Demotion Confirmed In This T20 World Cup

The Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant seems to be in superb form as he has played brilliant knocks in both the matches that India has played in New York.

Earlier, India played a warm-up match against Bangladesh and yesterday India started its T20 World Cup campaign by playing their first match against Ireland which India won by 8 wickets.

Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten as he played a knock of 36 runs and helped his team in chasing the meager target of 97 runs. While Virat Kohli is opening the innings with Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant is playing at number 3 and it seems that the management has decided to continue him at the same position which means Suryakumar Yadav will have to play at number 4.

The Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour talked about Pant and said, “Yes, he has been batting really well. The two games (warm-up and Ireland) he has played, he has looked really, really good. Yes, at the moment he (Pant) is our No. 3 and it helps that he is a left-hander.”

Rathour also praised Hardik Pandya as he said, “Hardik looked really good. Hardik has been — I mean, even in the practice game and even in the practice — bowling really well. He looks fit enough to go through four overs and he’s been bowling with some pace and some accuracy, so yeah, it’s great.”

Things look good for the Indian team, hopefully they will remain the same in the future as well.
