The Indian movie lovers got quite excited after they watched a video in which they saw director Rajkumar Hirani along with actors Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi together as Sanjay and Arshad were dressed as Munna Bhai and Circuit, respectively. In the end of the video, Hirani was heard saying “And we are back” which gave rise to speculations that they united for the third part of the Munna Bhai series.
The first installment of the series, Munna Bhai MBBS got released in 2003 and the second part, Lagey Raho Munna Bhai hit the theatres in 2006 and both the movies were blockbusters.
However, now the air has cleared as a source has revealed, “There is no film in the making. They shot for a commercial for a hospital, and the BTS video was released online, which started the rumours.”
Another source has revealed why Munna Bhai 3 is not possible, “There are very less chances of the third film happening now because of the fallout between Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It has been several years since they parted ways following the #MeToo allegations against Hirani. In fact, there was a film with a working title Munna Bhai Chale America, but that was soon shelved without any reason. The script was finalised and the pre-production had also started, but it could not happen.”
This is really sad, if it is true.
