Singing reality shows have become quite common nowadays and almost every channel airs it’s own singing reality show but the amount of drama that we get to see in these shows, it is hard to believe that they are not scripted. However, there is one more aspect of these shows which is quite controversial and that is the voting by public as the decision of elimination depends on the number of votes a participant gets.
Recently, the famous singer Palash Sen who is best known as the front singer of band Euphoria gave an interview in which he talked about some wrong practices of the modern day music industry. Palash Sen says that there are many singers who prefer to just lip-sync while performing on stage rather than singing the song live. He has taken the names of some singers such as Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Arijit Singh, Daler Mehndi and Vishal-Sheykhar and said that these singers never indulge in any of the bad practices during their live performances on stage.
Talking about the singing reality shows, Palash Sen says that viewers should watch the singing reality shows as they are watching “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” as there is no reality in them. He further added that while judging one show, he had an argument with his co-judge Daler Mehndi as he (Daler) was going according to script but he (Palash) wanted to bring the truth out. Palash said that a talented singer was eliminated just because the makers were of the opinion that it would shock the audiences and create a buzz.
