The Indian cricket team registered a big victory against the arch-rivals Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 in the match which was played yesterday at R Premadasa stadium, Colombo. The game was played for two days as rain stopped the first day’s game and then yesterday, the match resumed from where it stopped on day one.
India posted a huge total of 356/2 on the scoreboard with the help of the brilliant knocks of Virat Kohli (122*) and K L Rahul (111*). The Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill also scored fifties and gave their team a good start and a solid platform for making a big score.
In response, Pakistan never looked comfortable in chasing as they kept losing wickets on a regular basis and the whole team got wrapped up at the score of 128 runs in 32 overs. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers as he took 5 wickets in his 8 overs and gave away only 25 runs.
This win of India by 228 runs is certainly one of the biggest wins of the cricket world in the history of ODI and now it remains to be seen whether both the teams will play against each other in the finals or not.
