Vicky Kaushal Says Stardom Is ‘Instant Coffee’, Calls Salman & SRK Real Stars

The Indian actor Vicky Kaushal is on cloud nine after the success of his last release, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke which also starred Sara Ali Khan. Though Vicky Kaushal is a star for his fans yet the actor feels that he is not a star because as per him, in the present day world, stardom is like instant coffee.

During a recent interview, Vicky Kaushal shed his opinion on true stardom, he said, “The accessibility today is such that a person is a star only till he or she is in the news or trending on social media. A real star has to have longevity – like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik. Earlier in Bollywood, stardom came after decades of hard work and that fame was for life.”

He further added, “Today, stardom is easily attainable- like instant coffee. You can even buy followers, fans, ticks and verifications. Today’s stardom is like fast food. I am not a star, I am just an actor who is trying to do his best work.”

The actor who will be seen next in the biopic of Field Marshal Sam Maneckshaw also says that he is grateful for all the love that he is getting from the audiences but he doesn’t feel like true stars of Bollywood.

That is a pretty honest take, isn’t it?
