The fourth Test of the five-match series between India and Australia began on Thursday, December 26, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
During the first session of play on the opening day, a tense moment unfolded between Indian star batter and former captain Virat Kohli and Australia’s young opener Sam Konstas, who was making his Test debut.
A video circulating online captured the incident, showing Kohli and Konstas bumping into each other and exchanging words.

The 19-year-old Konstas, included in Australia’s playing XI as an opener in place of Nathan McSweeney, impressed on his debut by scoring a maiden Test fifty in just 51 balls. He eventually scored 60 runs off 65 deliveries, hitting six fours and two sixes. Konstas also put together an 89-run partnership with Usman Khawaja for the first wicket in 19.2 overs.
More fireworks to come!
