108-Foot Incense Stick Lights Up Ram Temple, Spreading Fragrance Across 50 Km

Today, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust burnt a 108-foot-long incense stick that was brought from Gujarat. “Jai Shri Ram” was being chanted by a sizable gathering when Mr. Das lighted the incense stick.

It has been said that the incense stick’s aroma will travel 50 km. The width of the 3,610 kilogramme incense stick is approximately three and a half feet. It has been transported from Vadodara, Gujarat, to this town in Uttar Pradesh.

The incense stick was made from cow dung, ghee, essence, flower extracts, and herbs. Once lighted, it would burn for around fifteen days.

On January 22, there will be a consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
