With the appointment of 16 vice presidents, 38 general secretaries, and 30 secretaries, the Congress reorganized its Uttar Pradesh branch on Saturday.
The new appointments were announced by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, after the party’s nomination of Ajai Rai to lead the state unit many months earlier. Numerous state units of the Congress have undergone organizational changes, and more are probably in the works.
The 16 vice presidents nominated for the Uttar Pradesh unit include Prem Prakash Agarwal, Rahul Rai, Suhail Ansari, and former Youth Congress chairman Keshav Chand Yadav.
