Dr. Anshu Kumari, 30, has brought distinction to Bihar by getting admitted into the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s postdoctoral programme (NASA). This fellowship was awarded to her in order for her to work on a future solar-focused space mission. She specialises in the development of ground-based radio equipment for monitoring space weather and the sun.
Dr. Anshu Kumari, 30, has brought distinction to Bihar by getting admitted into the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s postdoctoral programme (NASA). This fellowship was awarded to her in order for her to work on a future solar-focused space mission.
She began working as a NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) Fellow at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (NASA GSFC) on February 1st, 2023. She specialises in the development of ground-based radio equipment for monitoring space weather and the sun. Over the following three years, she will study the sun and its activity, focusing on solar outbursts.
Anshu Kumari travelled to NASA from the streets of Motihari, a hamlet in Bihar. The villagers, who were proud of Anshu’s achievements, felt that the daughter had given the region a distinct worldwide character.
Dr. Anshu Kumari, a Motihari’s daughter from Bihar, had similar incidents. She is the younger daughter of Dr. Chandrama, a retired professor who taught zoology at KCTC College till 2022, and Savita Devi, a former block education officer.
Dr. Anshu Kumari has made the trek from the village’s litigants to NASA as a result of Chandrama Singh’s parenting. Anshu completed her 12th grade schooling at Motihari’s Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Piprakothi.
Anshu kumari then moved to Jaipur, Rajasthan, to pursue a B. Tech degree. She then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki in Finland for two years. NASA has now picked her to work as a scientist in America.
Motihari’s daughter, Dr. Ashu, hoisted the talent flag and brought respect to the neighbourhood, state, and nation on the international stage. The locals were overjoyed to learn that Dr. Anshu has accepted a position with NASA, the world’s most prestigious scientific institution.
Raxaul (East Champaran) residents allege that his daughter Dr. Anshu Kumari has changed the district’s name.
Dr. Anshu Kumari has earned various awards. Last year, she was awarded the IIT Roorkee Best Thesis Award in Astrophysics. In December 2022, she will also get the IIT Indore Young Scientist Award. Anshu has worked incredibly hard for her job and has demonstrated that if one has a daughter like Anshu, gender quality takes on its own.
