It employs an OCPP platform to allow its unique OTC (One Tap Charging) card to offer this charging experience. Users may find the charger using Google Maps, word-of-mouth, or the SunFuel app. Users must pay for charging services.
E-Trails, a community effort sponsored by Co-founder Gul Panag, is another component of its business approach. Under this project, SunFuel-enabled hotels contribute room nights to the E-Trails kitty on an annual basis.
ICRA Research predicts that EV penetration in India would rise over the next five years, particularly in the electric two-wheeler, three-wheeler, and e-bus categories.
The pre-revenue business intends to build 350+ chargers in 2023 (already confirmed traction) and 1,000 in the following year. It is already operational with 80 charging stations and has completed 4,500 charge sessions.
