A leopard was spotted walking through the streets of Nainital, Uttarakhand. SaketBodal, an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer, tweeted a video of the large cat wandering on a deserted roadway at night. The large cat is seen crossing in front of Thakur Dev Singh Bish College in the video, which appears to have been recorded from a moving car.
The video has received over 26,000 views on Twitter since it was shared. While some social media users admired the leopard’s “majestic” look, others expressed worry over the likelihood of human-animal conflict and the threat the enormous cat posed to students.
A video of a leopard pursuing a puppy and colliding with a motorcycle went popular on social media last year. People were heard hooting at the wild animal, and one man seemed to beat it with a stone. The leopard was observed chasing the man in revenge. The event is said to have occurred in Mysuru, Karnataka.
