Pathaan, the much-anticipated film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, released on January 25th and has since been receiving thunderous response from the audience.
In its sixth week at the box office, the film managed to earn Rs 1.20 cr (early estimates), as per industry tracker Sacnilk, with its India net box office collection coming to Rs 528.89 cr.
Not only that, the film’s global collection stands at Rs 1026 crore with Rs 640 crore coming from India and Rs 386 crore from overseas, making it the highest-earning Hindi film, a record previously held by the Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali The Conclusion with Rs 510.99 crore.
Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh Khan‘s wife, expressed her excitement about the feat on social media as she wrote, “Record breaking streak… #Pathaan 🔥.” Siddharth Anand, the film’s director, also celebrated the success on Twitter as he wrote, “Crossed The Lifetime Collections Of #Baahubali2 In Hindi.
