This article tells the story of two brothers, Amrit Nahar and Anand Nahar, who successfully built a QSR chain with Zorko with an impressive turnover of Rs 22 crore in just two years. Starting with only Rs 50,000 and a single outlet, they achieved remarkable success in the food industry.

Anand and Amrit Nahar, brothers from a middle-class family in Surat, entered the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector in 2021 and have created an 88-restaurant network in less than two years.

The Zorko restaurant chain earned a total of Rs 22 crore in revenue and a total of Rs 22 crore in turnover in the current fiscal year up to December. Anand, 28, recalls Zorko’s incredible success story, which began with an Rs 50,000 investment in a 550 sq ft pre-owned eatery. He had an interest in stock trading since his school days, and after graduation, he worked as a freelance Business Development Executive for Zerodha, a brokerage business, and also became a SEBI certified research analyst.

Anand and Amrit Zorko were traders until the epidemic gave a new chance for their culinary expertise. When looking for the ideal place, they came across the restaurant at Vesu, which would become their first outlet. They sealed the arrangement with the restaurant’s owner by giving him an initial sum of Rs 50,000.

The brothers devised a business strategy that relied less on highly educated professional cooks who demanded expensive pay. The majority of the meals on their menu are prepared in their Surat kitchen and distributed to locations.

Anand and Amrit are in charge of the company’s social media promotions and creative components. Anand has established a goal of installing one outlet each day for the next three years, with the goal of reaching 1000 outlets.
