The Uttar Pradesh Police reported receiving a phone call on Friday night threatening to blow up the Hazratganj metro station in Lucknow, according to officials. Security was increased in and around the metro station after the phone call.
According to Hazratganj ACP Arvind Kumar Verma, the police control room received a call last night threatening to blow up the Hazratganj metro station. The caller identified himself as Ramesh Shukla and claimed that Dinesh Kumar, a resident of Banda, is responsible for the plan to blow up the station.
Found no bomb
The threat call has raised the alert level for the whole state police force. The guy who informed the police about the device, however, turned off his phone. However, the cops thoroughly inspected the entire metro station.
At metro stations, bomb-disposal teams were stationed, and considerable police presence, including the dog squad, was maintained. In actuality, the guy on the other end of the queue claimed that a bomb was present at the station and that it would go off at 11.40 p.m. No bomb was found despite the police working through the night to complete the operation.

According to senior police authorities, UP 112 received information regarding a bomb in the Hazratganj metro station, however it was a hoax.
Following the hoax call was received at the Police control room, the bomb detection and disposal squad (BDS) conducted a thorough checking drive.
