WhatsApp’s new features include ordering a meal, in-app shopping, and more; Details here

The well-known instant messaging service WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, recently released a number of innovations aimed at improving user-business interactions. One of these capabilities is called “Flows,” which enables companies to design customized forms for chat window services like seat selection, meal ordering, and appointment scheduling. According to WhatsApp, Flows will be gradually introduced over the coming weeks.

For WhatsApp enterprises, “Meta Verified” is a key enhancement. Businesses can benefit from improved account assistance and security against impersonation thanks to this badge. It includes premium features like multi-device support for quick customer service and the option to create a personalized WhatsApp page that can be found through web searches.

Before introducing Meta Verified to companies using the WhatsApp Business Platform, the company intends to test it first with small businesses using the WhatsApp Business app.

Furthermore, WhatsApp, which has more than 500 million users in India, has increased its payment options. Now, users may add products to their shopping carts and checkout using a variety of approved ways, including UPI apps, debit and credit cards, and more. To enable simple payments for customers, the business has teamed with PayU and Razorpay, suppliers of online payment solutions.

Additionally, Mark Zuckerberg, the creator and CEO of Meta, highlighted India’s pioneering role in adopting messaging as the preferred method for carrying out activities. At the Conversations event in Mumbai, where Meta unveiled a number of technologies focused at enabling businesses using WhatsApp, he said this during a virtual talk.

The recent launch of WhatsApp’s Channels feature has also received a lot of media attention. On September 19, Narendra Modi joined this brand-new WhatsApp network, indicating a recent development and another significant step in the ongoing initiative to promote constant contact.
