The politician Maneka Gandhi is known for her work for animal welfare, she is also pretty active on social media platforms and she used her online presence for increasing awareness regarding animal welfare.
Recently, Maneka Gandhi made a serious allegation against the biggest Krishna sect of the world which is known as International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) as she is heard saying that ISKCON is the biggest cheater as they sell cows and calves to butchers. She says that ISKCON takes huge benefits from the government in the name of setting up gaushalas but then they indulge in such acts.
She talked about her visit to ISKCON’s Anantpur Gaushala where she was not able to see a single dry cow (old cow which doesn’t give milk) and a single calf as well.
Here is the video in which you can hear Maneka Gandhi making allegations against ISKCON:
ISKCON reverted soon as the Country Director of Communications & National Spokesperson of ISKCON India, Yudhistir Govinda Das made tweets in which he gave the details of cattle in Anantpur Gaushala and he also said that no staff or employee of the Gaushala remembers seeing or talking to Maneka Gandhi. He also posted a video of Anantpur Gaushala dated 24 September in which dry cows can be seen feeding themselves.
